Joaquin Phoenix Attacks an Audience Member at a Miami Beach Nightclub
Joaquin Phoenix leapt off stage and confronted an audience member Thursday March 12, 2009, after being heckled. Joaquin Phoenix was "performing" at a Miami Beach nightclub when he started yelling at an audience member, then jumped off the stage and attacked the person.
Lawsuit to follow, I'm sure. Joaquin Phoenix, as you know, quit acting to become a hip-hop artist, and it doesn't seem to be working out to well for him so far. Luckily, all his antics are being caught on tape and the world is getting to see the (fake) demise of Joaquin Phoenix.

Ben Stiller Mocks Joaquin Phoenix at Oscars

Ben Stiller showed up to present at the 81st Oscars ceremony looking like the Unabomber and, even though he was standing next to the very gorgeous Natalie Portman, it was hard to notice her because Ben Stiller was imitating Joaquin Phoenix. It was so funny that I don't think anyone even knew what they were presenting (it was Best Cinematography).
Natalie Portman says, "You look like you work in an Ascetic meth lab." And Ben Stiller said that he was tired of being the "funny" guy. He even walked away from the podium to stare at the screens... even Natalie Portman could not contain herself.
If you didn't see Joaquin Phoenix on David Letterman last week, click on the link and you'll understand why what Ben Stiller did was so incredibly funny.

Joaquin Phoenix High as a Kite on Letterman

Did you see Joaquin Phoenix on David Letterman on February 11, 2009? I hope that Joaquin Phoenix is pulling our leg, otherwise he's going to overdose on something or other any minute now.
Not only was Joaquin Phoenix incredibly disrespectful by chewing gum, he acted like he had no idea what was going on. But as always, David Letterman managed to turn the whole thing into a joke and had the audience in stitches.
It's quite possible that Joaquin Phoenix is trying out some kind of weird experiment on us and David Letterman wasn't in on it, or it would ruin the eventual release on something great. That, or we're about to see the full on demise of a great actor turned rapper. He was there to promote his last movie Two Lovers, but it turned into a massive joke. And the beard and sunglasses just put the whole situation into overdrive.
The best part? When David Letterman says, "Joaquin, I'm sorry you couldn't be here tonight."

Joaquin Phoenix Falls During Concert

Joaquin Phoenix quit acting to become a professional singer and, while we all thought he was kidding when he said it, it is indeed true and Casey Affleck is documenting the whole thing.
The truth is, I fear that Joaquin Pheonix is headed down the same road his brother River Phoenix went down in the '90s and is about to overdose on drugs. The difference is, Joaquin Phoenix is having someone document his pending death.
It is obvious from the video that Joaquin Phoenix hasn't showered, nor is he coherent, and from the looks of him, his imminent doom is about to come sooner rather than later.
Take a look as Joaquin Phoenix falls during his concert at Las Vegas club Lavo.

Joaquin Phoenix Quits Acting

It's a terrible loss to discover that Joaquin Phoenix has quit acting to pursue a career in music. I know that Joaquin Phoenix wouldn't be the first actor to say he's quitting acting only to resurface in another movie, all thanks to the almighty dollar, but hey, he at least plans to quit.
It's unfortunate because Joaquin Phoenix is a fantastic actor and I would prefer to see him in a movie that I would to see him on stage, but hey, I may be alone on that front.
Nevertheless, take it in while you can because you won't be seeing Joaquin Phoenix starring in gems like Walk the Line or Gladiator anymore.
Is he drunk? You decide.
